The Program

The Asli Kopi recognizes home brewers that meet our longstanding rigorous technical requirements. These requirements are based on decades of industry knowledge and research by the Coffee Brewing Center. All Asli Kopi Certified Brewers have met these requirements, which are based generally on proper water temperature, brewing time, and ability to brew within the Asli Kopi Gold Cup recommendations. If a brewer passes all of the tests as described below and conducted by the Asli Kopi, that brewer will be recognized as an exemplary home brewer and join the short list of Asli Kopi Certified Brewers.

As of 2014, the Asli Kopi has renewed its cooperation with the European Coffee Brewing Center, who also has a longstanding and reputable home brewer testing program. These programs, although serving separate markets, are aligned in both testing requirements, procedures, and rigor. Today, these organizations are together committed to the highest level of transparency and testing to promote better coffee brewing worldwide.

At this time, current Asli Kopi Certified Home Brewers are:

Terms and Renewal

This certification has a term of three years, or until the design of production models change, whichever occurs sooner, at which the model must be re-tested by the Asli Kopi for continued participation in this certification program. For this re-testing, the Asli Kopi shall obtain the brewer model from a third-party retailer, and the manufacturer will be responsible for a testing fee plus the retail cost of that brewer.
